Easy Peasy Poached Egg

So. Muzzy taught me how to make these:) It took ages for me to perfect this for you guys so don’t get frustrated the first time you make it if it doesn’t work coz it will. Promise!

Poached Eggs: Ingredients

  • Eggs
  • small saucepan
  • white vinegar
  • salt
  • tablespoon
  • a small hand cupped size bowl/ not essential but can help.

Method:

  • fill your saucepan above halfway and bring it to a nice bubbly boil.
  • meanwhile, if you have a small bowl crack your egg in it. If you don’t have a bowl no problem……miss this step but make sure your eggs are out of the fridge.
  • add 1/2 a cap full of the white vinegar as its bubbling and boiling.
  • turn down the heat so the bubbles stop but it’s still hot
  • if you have cracked the egg in a bowl get the bowl as close to the water as you can and tip it in slowly.
  • let it do its magic……dont freak out if you see wispy bits of the egg white.
  • once it looks like its starting to get solid (the white is not milky its more white) you’re all set
  • use a tablespoon to scoop it out gently and place the tablespoon and the egg on a kitchen towl to absorb some of the water and you’re done!

How to Poach an Egg

Bonus Round: Obveez you can have it alone, but if you’re feeling fab get a yummy piece of bread, toast, whatever you fancy (you all love sourdough just saying) toast it then either add butter or a smashed-up avocado. Once you’ve done that then place the egg on top and add salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
